Here are some recent success stories

Lucas knew his bad credit rating meant that he’d struggle to get a home loan or car loan with his partner.

Mark was living overseas and found he had a credit card default that was holding him back. He knew nothing about credit scores.

Jessica rang her bank for a personal loan but they said no. Her bad credit rating was causing her stress.

What is a credit score and why is it important?
Like it or not, banks, lenders, phone companies and electricity providers share a persons financial information with each other. All of this information is held in a database known as a Credit Report.

Everyone who has ever applied for a loan, credit card, a lease, mobile phone contract or any other type of finance has a Credit Report. In this Credit Report there is a three or four digit number that banks use to approve a loan... this is your Credit Score.

For example and as a rule of thumb, if the Credit Score is above 950 (and the applicant meets all their other criteria) the loan is approved at the best rate, if it's below that then the loan will be declined or the lender will charge a higher interest rate.

The higher the credit score, the lower the interest rate.

Who looks at a credit score or credit report anyway?
Surprisingly many businesses and organisations look at someone's Credit Score and Credit Report. They use it to find out what type of person they are providing services to.
In our 17 years experience, we've seen a wide range use of this data:
  • A new or current employer use it to see if they can trust people
  • Insurers use it determine how risky of a customer they might be
  • Landlords and real estate agents use it to determine if rent will be paid
  • Telco's use it to decide if they will offer a mobile phone or internet contract
  • Banks and lenders use it to decide if they'll approve a loan or how much interest to charge
Because of this, we think it's critical that everyone knows what's on their credit report before it's too late.
A bad credit score can have huge negative impacts.
A bad Credit Score or Credit Report can have significant impacts to someone’s financial health.
Just a small black mark can force people to:
  • Pay $100,000+ more in interest on a mortgage or other finance
  • Have loans, credit cards or phone contracts declined
  • Have to provide a guarantor or additional security for a loan
These affects can last for years and get people into a spiral that is hard to get out of.
But it's not all bad news...
In our experience, 70% of Australian Credit Reports have errors in the information listed. Thankfully everyone has the right to review the information on their Credit Score and Credit Report.  Stop the same mistakes from happening to you. Understand your credit report and get back in control.

At CRA, we help people to realise their financial dreams.
Don’t leave it until it’s too late...
it’s time to take action
It's easy to put this off. We get it, life can get in the way.

But this is something that could be costing people thousands of dollars right now.

It's important to get started and take action right away.
Here are some simple steps to get started:
  • Obtain a copy of your credit report and credit score
  • Claim a free financial health check
  • Learn what impacts a score and what you can do to avoid it
Why are we doing this?
Okay, we can hear the skepticism from here. Why are we going to all of this trouble to help people with a Credit Score and bonus financial health check?

There's two reasons. Firstly, we know what it's like to feel trapped by finances and credit. How it feels to have loans declined or a credit card rejects at the checkout. We want to help as many people as possible explore their options and their financial health. Also, after 19 years, we are actually really good at what we do. Just check out reviews.

If anyone takes advantage of our bonus financial health check and decides that our other awesome services aren’t for them then that’s totally fine.
No hard feelings.
